Dr Kasia Bialostocki

MB ChB 1997 Cape Town, FRNZCGP 2010

After taking a pause to care for our special needs son, I’m so excited to join the team at Bethlehem Family Doctors again.

My journey into medicine started when I was only 4, inspired by my dad coming home from work, still wearing his white coat. At nearly 80 he hasn’t hung up his stethoscope yet – a true testament to loving what you do. I guess you could say medicine is in my blood, with my sisters making their own marks in paediatrics and psychiatry.

After graduating in Cape Town in 1997, I embarked on a medical adventure that took me from the vibrant communities of Johannesburg to the chilly corridors of UK hospitals, and finally to the sunny shores of Whakatane in 2000. It was here in New Zealand that I found my home and my hubby, and where I completed my GP fellowship.

As I step back into the medical world, I bring an understanding of the highs and lows that come with navigating healthcare. Whether you’re feeling sick, worried, or just in need of a chat, I’m here to listen and assist in any way I can.

I look forward to meeting you all and making a positive difference in your lives!
